Zoo visit #2

Since we are the proud owners of a family zoo membership (thanks to Papanah), we figured why not go see the animals on Good Friday. We packed a lunch and headed down mid morning. The animals were very active so that was lots of fun - monkeys were swinging around like crazy, 2 bears were rough-housing, the rhinos were practically running around their exhibit!! It was a good time at the zoo.

We love the zebras!!

Even the turtles were on the move and enjoying the gorgeous weather.

Someone almost stuck his finger in to the turtle cage - that would have been bad!

Visiting Jonathan the Lion - he was not active, rather took a long nap in the shade. Lazy Jonathan.

We attempted a family picture in front of the rhinos but clearly that didn't workout - a) you can't see G and b) you can't see any rhinos. Oops.

My personal favorite - the giraffes. The baby giraffe is almost 2 months old.

We ended this zoo trip with the elephants.

And if visiting the zoo and have a picnic lunch in the park wasn't enough, we headed to my grandparents for the afternoon and dinner then Hayden's baseball game. Talk about some tired Hoffarts!! But spending quality time with the family never gets old. Love my family!!!
