Weekend with the Nieces

This past weekend, Jacob and I had his nieces over while their parents were celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary in Cabo. Good thing I wasn't in Cabo - I would much rather be in Texas than on a beach with a frozen drink in my hand getting some Mexico sun : )

Jacob picked them up on Thursday and we had them until Saturday night when they went to stay with Jacob's parents. We had a fun filled two and a half days with the girls! Here are some pictures from Saturday when I was striving for Aunt of the Year!

After having some breakfast and walking the dogs, we headed to Johnny Rockets for lunch.

Aunt Emily had to do a little bit of shopping on Market Street so we took full advantage of the gorgeous weather and hung out playing in the grassy area on Market Street.

Watch out!! She is putting some moves on this little boy!!

Of course we had to play in the fountains! They were having so much fun and got soaking wet!

Too bad this little one doesn't like to pose for pictures!

After the fountains we ran home really quickly to change into some dry clothes and headed to the movie theater. As we rounded the corner from the parking garage, we immediately saw tons of dog kennels and dogs galore! The Montgomery County Animal Shelter was doing adoption day in front of the theater. Now anyone who knows these girls know that they are HUGE animal lovers - you should have seen how big their eyes got when they saw the animals. Since we were running slightly late for the movie, we had to wait until after the movie to visit the puppies. Check out this adorable puppy and his one gorgeous blue eye and one gorgeous brown eye!
Faith laid it on pretty thick about how much she wanted to take one home - pretty please Emily! Geez-louise! After playing with the dogs we headed over to Northshore Park for some good old fashion fun on the playground.

Dinner after the park and then home for showers and some Wii playing. Aunt Emily was pooped and slept so good that night!!!
We had a great weekend with the girls! Yes we were worn out but it was great spending time with them. Jacob and I love these little two girls to pieces!!!
