Framing Day #3

Saturday March 24th - 4:45 pm after the framers left for the day!

What's that you see through the trees??? 

Oh that would be my framed house!  I mean OUR framed house!  Sorry!  After patiently waiting for the work day to end on Saturday and as soon as the last worker pulled out of the neighborhood, we headed to our house to check it out.  What a difference walls make!  It's amazing.  The slab looks so tiny and even though everyone told us that would be the case, it still made us worry.  How in the world are we going to fit all of our stuff in this teeny tiny house.  But walls sure do make a difference!  Yay for walls!!!  Let me walk you through our house:

G and I are standing in our garage!  Just to let you know, Wyatt was in the middle of a nice long afternoon nap so he will not be running around like a crazy person in these pictures.

 Now let's get in the house!  G sure does love it!!  He is standing in the kitchen area below.

And now he is making a funny face standing where the kitchen sink will live.  That will be my window that I will look out to watch my boys play!
Okay so below we have our living room.  Fireplace in the back left corner.  Two windows and then a door going to the back porch.  The 3 windows on the right will be our dining room - although it will not be enclosed.  The wall laying on the ground was the only interior wall they had not put up yet.  It will separate the living room from the kitchen/dining area.

This picture (below) is standing in the dining area and looking at the front of the house.  The large opening is our front door!  Woo-hoo.  Come on in!!

And here is our bedroom - we are looking at the back wall right now.  2 windows on the back wall and a door on the right wall heading to the back porch.  If you can see G he is heading down the short hallway to our closet/bathroom. 

I love this picture below because you can see G taking off down the hallway to the bathroom and you can see me running after him.  Reason being is because there is some nasty water standing in the shower pan in the bathroom and he is just dying to play in it!  The boy has a good memory let me tell you!

Picture below is of bedroom #4.  If you come to the Hotel Hoffart to spend the night, this will be your room.  G and I are actually standing in the hall between our bedroom and bathroom. 

This will be our guest bathroom!!!  Or if we happen to have a 3rd child this will be his/HER bathroom : )

The picture below is from standing in one of the boy's room and looking into the Jack&Jill bathroom - or as my mom says Jack&Jack bathroom since we have 2 boys.

 And this view is of our laundry room - which fronts the road - and 1/2 bathroom.

Last picture is a view of the back of our house.  Jacob is standing behind the garage taking this picture.   Dining room and then our living room. 

Monday I went out to the house and they had framed in all the windows, put that last wall up and put the front beam on the front porch.  I am dying to see what all they have done since then.  This part of the construction process sure is going fast!  I know it will seem like it slows down after the walls and roof are up but for now I am loving how fast it seems to be moving!  Keep on building guys!!!  And thank you God for this amazing weather so our house can be built!!!
