Christmas morning this year was a little different. First of all, being homeless and waking up in someone else's house just feels different. Second, Jacob worked Christmas Eve so I did all the prep for Christmas morning by myself (not that there was much but still, it just felt strange). Then he got home a little before 7 and immediately started cooking breakfast. Our plan was to do Christmas morning festivities and then go to church. From church we would head to my grandparents. Everything went according to plan but it just felt different, hard to explain. G was up around 7ish and happy as could be. We had to wake Wyatt up around 9, which was nuts!! Church started at 11 so we were good on time.
Since G was 1st up, he got to see what Santa left before Wyatt. Unfortunately for G, Santa left the tractor for Wyatt and G's gift is in the background......yep, the car seat! Our Santa is all about giving practical gifts while they are still young.

Santa was so silly this year, he got this toy out of our storage unit!! This was Wyatt's when he was a baby and I guess Santa thought that G would enjoy it also! Again, Santa was quite practical this year (and he knows we are in the process of building a house!).

Poor Wyatt - he was very reluctant to come out of his room because he thought Santa was still there. But when I finally convinced him that Santa was back at the North Pole, he came out smiling and immediately started playing with G's basketball goal.

But he was really excited for his "John Deere Tractor". He can't just say tractor, it's the entire name......John Deere Tractor!

He really wanted to take it outside right then and there but we had to eat breakfast and get out of the door for church. Which we did make it to but only made it through half the service. The nursery wasn't open on Christmas day so all 4 of us (not sure what we were thinking) went to big church. It was worth a try though!

Next up, pics from Christmas afternoon/evening at my grandparents.
