Big brother and "B-B"

Although Garrett just arrived and has no idea what is going on, he managed to come prepared and give his big brother a super cool present! He gave Wyatt this awesome tool kit. Wyatt LOVES it. He's been highly interested in tools lately with seeing Jacob and Papa's tools out and about while they're working on all sorts of projects on the house. He does have a tool set that he got for his first birthday last year, but he's out-grown those tools...they were very small and although good for babies, he's a big boy now and needed big boy tools! He may have trouble saying somewhat simple words, but this kid does say the word screwdrive. (He also says microwave, but that's not really relevant to the tool set story here...) He's been hammering all sorts of things and been using his wrenches, screwdrives and plyers like nobody's business!
Garrett also gave Wyatt this fabulous drill, complete with safety goggles!
Here is Wyatt giving "B-B" some sweet kisses with the assistance of Nana and Grammy.

Can you say spoiled?!?! Wyatt was all set up in Emily's hospital bed with his snuggy and watching Cars. What a life!

And here's what Garrett has been doing while his wild older brother has been running circles around him!

Sweet brothers!
"B-B" is the best way I can type the way Wyatt pronounces "baby." It's way cute. He doesn't say Garrett, but he definitely says baby and he's been very interested in holding him!

Garrett is doing really well. He's nursing really easily and so far as been very passive and go with the flow. He went to the nursery last night and will go back again tonight. Emily is also doing really well. She's up and moving and walking all over the place! She's definitely ready to head home in the morning. Jacob, on the other hand, hasn't been feeling well. He's really congested and is just kind of feeling bad all over.

Today has been a busy day for the Hoffarts. Lots of visitors have stopped by, including the incredibly wild big brother. Wyatt has been full of energy and pretty much all over the place. He may have some of the fastest hands and fingers ever. He even managed to "adjust" Emily's hospital bed so much that it took two different nurses to come in and work on it. They almost had to call maintenance but managed to figure it out before doing so. He's just flat crazy right now!

Papa & Mia have returned to CS for the evening because Mia needs to work and Papa needed to get the dogs. Jacob and Wyatt returned to their house tonight to get showered and (hopefully) a good night's sleep in their own beds. I'm staying the night with Emily and Garrett. Woo hoo - par-tay at the hospital!!!

More pictures and posts to come!
