Arbor Day was going down at Creekside Park this past Saturday from 10-2 and we thought we would head over to check it out. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we had a blast. I for sure want to make Arbor Day an annual event if possible. There were so many kid activities and our little one just ran wild and burned off a ton of energy.
Our first stop was, of course, the petting zoo! Crazy how this kid just loves himself a petting zoo - I do feel sorry for the animals that he chases and tries to pick up!
Once Wyatt figured out that this is where you get food for the animals, he was obsessed with it, well he and the goat that is!
This little bunny just cuddled up in Wyatt's lap. It was pretty precious, right up until the point where Wyatt wanted to touch the bunny's eyes and then pick it up. The bunny was not a fan and hopped away fast.
Daddy splurged and bought some food to feed the animals and they immediately swarmed around Wyatt to eat. He thought it was pretty big stuff.
After a good hand washing we played in the park a little bit while daddy stood in line to check out all the free stuff they were giving away.
Then we hit up the gazillion bouncy castles and games!
Wyatt really was not interested in just bouncing once he found the sports section! He played basketball....
he kicked the soccer ball.....
threw the baseball........
and of course "bootball"!!
Not to mention that he did these activities over and over and over again! We had to learn about waiting our turn and standing in line and sharing with the other kids, but he did great and had a blast!!
Wonderful family outing to Arbor Day and I am looking forward to taking him back there next year....oh and Baby G also!
