Wy's vacation at Camp Todd

Wyatt had his 1st summer vacation at Camp Todd last week. Jacob and I went to Mexico while Wyatt went to play at his grandparent's in CS. (Mexico pictures to come - they have yet to be downloaded but I will get to those soon - promise Dad!).

My mom documented what they did every day with pictures to go along with his daily activities. The following are her emails and her pictures. I really wanted to have his 1st vacation documented on my blog!!


So...we are in CS with Wyatt while Jacob & Emily are in Playa del Carmen! Thought I'd document just a little bit.

We started off the morning playing trucks and taking batting practice at Wyatt's house in TW. Then, we loaded up and headed to the new childrens museum in The Woodlands..it just reopened after being closed since October. We got a family membership so that everyone can enjoy taking Wyatt to the museum..and then headed on in to play. I'm not sure what the fav exhibit was: the dirt and diggers, the firetruck complete with lights, or the Thomas train engine table. All were huge hits. The story time and puppet show..not so much.

Then, we drove back to CS...Wyatt sang and ate the entire way. We finished the snacks and then a container of yogurt, and were working on applesauce when we got home.

He was thrilled beyond words to see Maxwell and Cheyenne!

After about a 45 minute nap...he played in the pool, ate popsicles, threw the balls for the dogs, and played in the sprinkler.

While he and Papa Sam ate watermelon at the table, Wyatt painted with the new "tadoodles" washable paints...the jury is still out on the washable part.

I think we are fixing to head out for a walk..maybe in the wagon maybe in the stroller!

Big first day!!

We finished tonight with a little watermelon in the front yard and then a stroll up and down the cul-de-sac. April is spending the night tonight! He is thrilled to have so many of his people around!

We had a wonderful day today!! April & Wyatt had a sleep over! Wy had his April there to get him out of bed this morning...dirty diaper and all. He ate and ate and ate for breakfast: 1 banana, Papa Sam's blueberry pancakes, sausage, and egg! He downed all 7 oz of milk like a champ. We played and played trains and trains and more trains.

We loaded up and went to Tiffany Park in Bryan to play on their splash pad. It was really a neat place. Wy was a little tired, but really enjoyed the water, and the sticks that he found!

Lunch today was a grilled cheese sandwich, more cheese, turkey lunch meat and the ever enjoyable watermelon! After lunch, Wyatt took over a 2 hour nap. he was sooooooo happy when he woke up..ready to see what was next.

Next was snack time. We had watermelon and yogurt. What a combination.

Pool time followed..along with sprinkler time, throwing the tennis balls for the dogs, working in the plants, and loading up the little white rocks in a bowl. Huge time outside. When we finished outside, Wyatt and I played and played and played trains. Then, we unloaded the toy box just to see what was in the bottom!

He also cleaned the french door windows today....loved on Max....ran in the grass....ate lots of animal crackers....read lots of books....and talked constantly.

We had a quick dinner about 6..then headed in to pick up April & James for dinner. We met Whitney, Woody, Waverley & Willa at Casa Rod and had a huge time! Wyatt ate a complete dinner again..rice, tortilla, chicken, cheese and lots and lots of quacamole! Wyatt flirted and flirted with both West girls..held hands with Waverley and gave high 5s all around the table. He was quite the character.
After we got home, he and Papa Sam looked at the moon AND a train! He is sound asleep in his crib....one happy and tried little man!

Tomorrow....Baseball!

In the middle pic, Wyatt is working with Max on "stay". He actually worked with all 3 dogs....Cheyenne was the only one that really understood and followed Wyatt's directions. He was thrilled when Cheyenne actually did stay! He worked and worked and worked on "stay".

He played the guitars several times today. I didn't know that he and Papa Sam had played together last night. Wyatt brought the guitars to me several times this afternoon and crawled up in my lap ready for some music! Sad. He loves music.

Sadly I didn't get any pics from dinner tonight. It was a ton of fun though!

Wow...where did the day go? We were so busy!! Wyatt had a big morning...before breakfast, Wyatt did a quick run thru the water sprinklers! Those were way fun to watch and talk about. He and Papa Sam cooked fresh blueberry pancakes again. Big hit for breakfast.

We got the music table out after breakfast, and Wyatt quickly found the little "hidden man"!! We were really surprised that he remembered to look for him. After that, Wyatt figured out that 2 of his little cars could stack in the hole instead of the little man. Big stuff.

As usual the dogs were huge helpers and entertainment all day long. There was some hugging and loving, kissing, laying on, feeding, licking, and poking....Max was the most willing partner.

We set the water table up after breakfast. Basically anything involving water seems to be a big hit. As soon as the water table was set up, the dogs needed drinks...Wyatt of course joined them and had a few "doggie" drinks. Sadly, my camera spent most of the day needing a battery charge..so the pics are few for the day.

Bubbles....huge entertainment. I'm sure all of his talking was telling us that he could do the bubbles all by himself. He worked and worked and LOVED it when he managed to get bubbles going.

Wyatt took a really nice, long morning nap...2 1/2 hours...woke up ready to go. He had a pb&j sandwich AND lunch meat for lunch. He is a very deliberate eater....once he gets going, he does enjoy his food.

He played in the pool and sprinkler again in the afternoon. Sadly...the camera battery took forever to charge.

Wyatt & Papa Sam have been reading the Cheerio book...complete with finding the cheerios on each page. Big hit. Huge hit.

Wyatt has "Papa" down really well.....yesterday during some yard work, Papa Sam was called many, many times.

He rested for a quick 45 minute afternoon nap since we were going to be out late for the baseball game.

The game was lots of fun. We got there a little late and left after about an hour. He liked looking at the mascot Kaboom, but didn't want to get close. Cookie Monster was at the game also...he was fun to look at from a distance. Wyatt did lots of watching, lots and lots of clapping and even got to see a train up close and personal right beside the park. April has pics from the baseball game.

It was a very busy day...lots of fun...lots of talk...lots of eating!

Wow..today was a busy day. Wyatt had a great breakfast and then we played trains for a little while. We picked up April before 11 to head to Pearland for lunch. Wyatt got to take a nap in the car on the way down...and probably could have slept a bit longer. He definitely remembered G&G's house as soon as we walked in and he saw the pool table!! Couldn't wait to get going on pool balls.

Patrick, Linda, Linda's granddaughters, Jonathan, Lynsy, Mary, Grammy & Grandad were all in Pearland for lunch. Papa Sam grilled hamburgers.

Wyatt worked on Jonathan's new Droid phone, played lots of trains, played pool balls, tried to take a little nap (not successful), ran through the house, and was big entertainment for all.

He slept almost the entire drive back....then we played outside, ran in the grass, threw the balls for the dogs, and waited to see the moon. April came out and gave him his bath and loved on him before bed. After bath time, sure enough, the moon was out from behind the clouds!!! Yeah.

We found out that Wyatt loves homemade lasagna with whole wheat noodles, sausage and veggies! He really enjoyed his salad and salad dressing tonight! Watermelon is still #1 on the list of foods...followed ever so closely by cheese. Warm milk is the best way to end a long day!

He's sound asleep in his crib here in CS for the last night with us. We have enjoyed every minute, and can't wait to do it again!
