The boys, April and I went to see the Merrill family in NB on Monday. We played and played and played (many blog posts to come on our NB adventures!) until Thursday morning. After breakfast on Thursday, we loaded up to head back to CS. On our way home, we stopped off to check out the dinosaur park in Cedar Creek (which is in between Bastrop and Austin). Mia and Papa had told us the day before that they were going to meet us there to see the dinosaurs with us and when we pulled up to the park, daddy was with them! That was a fun surprise!!! We had a blast at the dinosaur park and I would highly recommend a visit to this park if your little ones are into dinosaurs. Here is the link to their website:
The Dinosaur Park. I think the story behind the dinosaur park is great: it's a small, family owned business that was started because the couple's children loved dinosaurs so much yet all the museums and parks had only dinosaur skeletons. They wanted a place where the dinosaurs were realistic and life-size and in their natural environment. We all thought it was great! Not only can you walk through the trails in search of all the dinosaurs, they also have a prehistoric scavenger hunt. When we arrived, the owner gave us a prehistoric hunt sheet and while walking through the trails you will spot a dinosaur footprint clue that helps you find hidden items. They also have a few sandboxes full of dinosaur fossils, a playground and a nice shaded area with picnic tables. Oh and did I mention a fully stocked gift shop with every dinosaur you can imagine?!! We are now the proud owners of a velociraptor, pteranodon, spinosaurus and Arnie the brachiosaurus from Dinosaur Train! All in all, I am sure we will make another trip back to visit the dinosaurs and like I said above, this park comes with 2 thumbs up from all of us!
Check out our pictures from our super fun dino adventure:

| About to start down the dino trail. All smiles sitting on a dino bone!!! |
| Mr. Stegoceras - aka creepy eyes! |
| Clue #2 of the scavenger hunt. |
Most of the dinosaurs are off limits to touch but they do have 3 exhibits that you could take your picture with and touch (not crawl on....darn it!).
| Wyatt: "Say it like this, tri......cera.....tops......triceratops". He helps us with pronunciations all the time! |
| Hoffs with the Iguanodon. |
| Mr. Iguanodon |
| Love this sweet, rosy cheek face!!! |
| Daddy and Wyatt. Side note - not a fan of the mustache just in case you were wondering! |
| Rounding the corner to see the tallest dinosaur around, the brachiosaurus. |
| This dude was MASSIVE!! |
| Lots and lots of pointing and Wyatt kept saying "I wanna see a bigger dinosaur." Not sure how much bigger they get than Mr. Brachiosaurus but we will see. |
| LOVE! |
| This exhibit was really cool! It was the stegosaurus with a predator watching him from behind a tree. Wyatt thought it was really neat and took off running to try to see the predator dinosaur. |
| Mr. Stegosaurus |
| My boys with Juan Carlos, I mean daddy! Hehe! |
| Love his sweaty hair and the fact that he is propping up his arm with his left arm! Guess his arm was getting a little tired. |
| Us with Mr. T-Rex |
| The King of the Dinosaurs. Roar! |
| Little, tiny baby T-Rex. |
| I don't think we were really allowed to get IN the nest. Ooops! |
