My mom read about the drive thru safari on MyBCS.com and it sounded like it would be a fun little outing. And boy were we right! It was AWESOME!! We had the best time and I hope to go back before the summer is over. We packed a lunch, loaded up in the tahoe and off we went! Upon arriving, Jacob paid our entrance fee, bought a 2.5 gallon bucket of food for the animals ($8.00) and then the guys opened the gates for us and it was "game on" with the wild life!!! They also give you a stack of cups because there are signs throughout the safari that say to feed animals from the cups. Reason why they give you so many cups: the animals sometimes grab the cups from your hand! Ha!! We had 2 cups taken from us!!
My mom had read that they have over 200 animals. It was crazy how many different animals there were and for the most part how friendly they were (I say for the most part because there was a very aggressive camel and a very fast llama that followed us around almost the entire time!). But come to find out the camel (who is 3 years old - explains a lot about his behavior!) was very harmless and the guys described him as "social". And the llama (Sasha) was bottled fed and is not accepted by the other llamas. Talk about snobs! The first group of pictures were taken on my phone so not the best quality. Oh and I forgot to mention that once you pay, you can drive through as many times as you want to. We made 3 laps around the safari before stopping for lunch and then one more lap before leaving. Lots and lots of fun!!!

The rest of the pictures are from my mom's camera. After making 3 laps around the safari, we had lunch at the picnic tables then we visited the petting zoo.

| This is Mr. Chris holding a capybara - the largest rodent, yuck! Chris and his twin brother run the whole safari. They are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We picked their brains quite a bit while we were there. |

That looks like so much fun! Not sure if L would really "appreciate" the animals yet... I'm picturing her looking the entire time the way G did in his first camel photo. :) Were there a lot of other people there, or did you guys have the run of the place?
