My son is 3. He is NOT potty trained. He is still in diapers. I am not proud of it but that is the reality! We have tried numerous strategies: candy bribes, sticker chart with Cars stickers, buying big boy underwear and even putting it on him, letting him run around naked, etc. The bottom line is we have little to no consistency in our life right now and the boy just isn't ready. End of story! However, he has recently noticed my dad's collection of cowboys and horses at my parent's house and REALLY wants to play with them. So, we now have a new bribe....go on the potty in exchange for 5 minutes of play time with the cowboys and horses! My dad came up with the rule and Wyatt LOVES it!! Yesterday he went 3 times on the potty and did some serious cowboy/horse playing!! Today, I have been told, has been equally successful. The funny part is that he is now telling us he needs to go and will go on the potty, just so he can play with the cowboys and horses. Can we say "hard headed"?!
I took a few pictures of him playing last night after bath time - which he announced during his bath he needed to potty. I got him out of the tub, he went on the potty and then back to his bath! Amazing!!!
I don't know the names of all the horses and cowboys but below he is showing me Wyatt Earp's horse.

Here he is setting up all the saddles on the bed rail, the horses go in the "barn", which is under the bed, and then they just play!

Don't feel bad. Kaylynn turned 3 in December and it wasn't until beginning of February when it finally started working...
