Honeymoon Friends

This is where Jacob & I honeymooned in June 2008....not actually at the airport but you get my point right?!




We flew from Houston to Miami and then from Miami to St. Lucia. Once in St. Lucia, we took a shuttle from the airport to our resort, one of the 3 Sandals. While waiting in line for the shuttle we meet Ashley & Jeff. They happened to be staying at the same resort from us and low and behold were from College Station. Small world! Poor Ashley forgot her camera so I took pictures of them the entire trip and then shared with them afterwards. Needless to say we hung out with these guys a bunch and made some lifelong friends!





These pictures were taken minutes after we met on our way to the Sandals.

We try to meet up with Jeff and Ashley when we can but due to our growing families and busy lives, we really only get to hang out at our kid's birthday parties! We both love hanging out with the VWs and we plan to vacation together next summer - yay!!


Anyway, we helped Addison celebrate her 2nd birthday this past Saturday. The birthday girl was adorable as ever with her gorgeous blue eyes!

Wyatt helped sing Happy Birthday to Addi.

After cake, Wyatt changed into his suit and checked out all the water features at the party.

He is such a hoarder....I mean, seriously, pink balls. Did we need to hold 5 pink balls all at once?

These 2 have a history of flirting with each other!!

I had to include this picture due to the finger wag taking place. He is horrible at pointing his finger and saying things like "stop that right now" or "do you hear me?" Lovely.

Addison was being so sweet with Garrett.

Last year she was kissing on Wyatt and this year she is kissing on Garrett. She must have a thing for the Hoffart boys!!

Jacob is going to kill me for putting these on here but I love them. Wyatt spent a lot of time drinking manly tea out of Addi's tea set!

So here are the VWs and the Hoffarts in June of 2008. Not a care in the world!!! Life sure was easy back then : )

And look at us now - each with 2 kids!! Life sure has changed but definitely for the better! And I really think Jacob is wearing the exact same shirt as he was in St. Lucia - ha!! (Kids - Wyatt (2), Garrett (5 months), Lilly (9 months) and Addison (2))

Back at my parent's house after the party. Wyatt was really into wearing the sunglasses in the party bag - this is really the first time he has left sun glasses on his face for any period of time.

Oh you know, wearing sunglasses and taking a phone call. He sure is a busy guy!
