We kicked off the August birthday marathon on Friday celebrating Avery's 11th birthday. The deal with August birthdays is that you pretty much have to incorporate some sort of water activity or it is pretty darn close to unbearable! And I am allowed to say this because I am an August birthday girl. Anyway, back to Avery's party. The party was held at Avery's house and it was a nice, low key party: little swimming, little water sliding, little eating of Mexican food, little enjoying some yummy cupcakes. I would call it a success!! And you can always judge the success of a birthday party but how quickly your 2 year old passes out in the car on the way home : ) So this party was VERY successful!!
Here is the cute little birthday girl with her birthday cake.
This is what the 2 year old did while the rest of us sang "Happy Birthday" to Avery. Awesome.
Making a birthday wish!!
Pool time : )
My little guy sure did enjoying swimming with Nana. He was very relaxed in the pool - he might have thought it was a giant bath tub.
Love this picture!!
Wyatt did some swimming on Daddy's back holding on to a pink flamingo - why wouldn't he be holding on to a pink flamingo?!
Great picture of Aunt Stacey and sweet G.
After many hours in the pool and after all the party goers left for the evening, we headed inside for dinner. Wyatt found his cousins all snuggled up on Stacey's bed with snacks and jumped right in the middle of them! He was in snack Heaven!! Avery came into the kitchen a little later and told us they needed a small vacuum because Wyatt was leaving lots of crumbs!
