Santa at the Fire Station 2010

Thursday, December 16th

Last night, Willis Fire Department had their annual kid's Christmas party and just like last year, we had a blast! It was a little more fun this year since Wyatt is a year older and more into things and playing with the other kids. Wyatt had a ball and by the end of the night he was wiped out!!

Here is my post from last year's party if you want to see little man a year ago - I know my dad likes looking back to previous posts!

So here are the Hoffart 3 +1 at the party last night.

Santa arrived on the fire truck and all the kids rushed outside to see him. Daddy and Wyatt went outside to greet Santa but I hung out inside - therefore this is the only picture I took of Wyatt before Santa came into the station. They sang a few songs and Santa gave some hugs to the kids. I think it is safe to say Wyatt was slightly more interested in the fire truck (sirens and lights) more so than Santa. Maybe next year he will give Santa some love.

Inside the bay, all the kids sat in front of Santa and waited patiently for Santa to call their name so they could receive their Santa gift.
Well, all the kids sat patiently except for one in particular!

He is too funny - he would sit down and look at Santa and then after about 15 seconds would get up and move around, then find a new seat. Our attention span is not very long right now!

Wyatt's name was called and daddy took him to sit on Santa's lap - this was not a full out crying session but more like a whine. There weren't even any tears just not happy sitting on a strange man's lap.

But we were VERY happy with the present that Santa gave us! How did Santa know that this little boy is obsessed with Thomas??

Very pleased with his gift, he was back on the move and playing with other kids and their gifts!
Self portrait of mama and Wyatt.

Snuck in a little kiss to Miss Baileigh! This little girl (Scott and Robin's daughter) is ADORABLE and so happy. Wyatt would walk around and pick up wrapping paper and bows off the ground and take them to Baileigh for her to have. It was really sweet!!
Daddy and Wyatt - saying "ttteeeeeeeeetttttthhhhhhhh" which he says instead of "cheese" - whatever works!
He was VERY interested in Trey's "sit & spin" although he couldn't quite get it to work - he tried very hard though.
Eating a cookie!
And its time to go! Lots of fun was had at the Willis Christmas Party this year!
