Christmas Eve & Morning

Christmas Eve was dedicated to Jacob's side of the family this year. We did the Hoffart side first and then drove in the lightning and crazy rain storm to Kingwood to celebrate with his immediate family. The Hoffart side of the family always gets together on Christmas Eve and Santa makes his appearance once it is dark outside. This year Jacob was Santa! It was a lot of fun listening to him talk to the kids and use a Santa voice : ) He called each kid up one at a time and had them sit on his lap, then he gave them their present. Lots of fun!!! Oh and Santa told all the kids that since it was raining so hard outside, he had to leave his boots at the door. Hehe.

Wyatt was very interested in watching all the kids sit on Santa's lap and open their gift but he was not such a fan when it was his turn. Even though he was sitting on daddy's lap!!

Next up, off to Kingwood to be with Jacob's immediate family. Wyatt opened all his presents from Nana/Granddad, Aunt Stacey&Uncle Tom and his Uncle Jared. First up, Aunt Stacey and Uncle Tom's gift:

It's an Aggie Bike that he LOVES!!! As soon as he saw the picture on the box, he immediately said "Aggie Bike" - too precious for words. Then he wanted it opened right away!!

Trying to get Daddy to put together his Aggie Bike - we were able to distract him with another toy and put the bike in the car before assembling it. Too many parts and tools needed for now!

Now, fast forward to Christmas morning. Since Wyatt really doesn't understand Christmas just yet, we figured we could get away with a VERY low key Christmas morning this year. Maybe our last year to get away with minimal presents and sleeping in!!!

Santa gave Wyatt a super cool fire truck that he is a little afraid of right now but I think he is getting more brave with it - it makes all kinds of noises (thanks Jacob!) and moves forward and backward VERY fast.

He wanted it opened immediately so its a good thing he only had a few presents to open.

Next present - what is it??

A baseball glove - he was excited about it for approximately 2 minutes.

Then we moved on to other things - you know, toys that have been in our house for a while now! Guess he wasn't all that excited about his glove : (

Enough of this present business, time for breakfast with our boots on!!!

I have a feeling next year will be very different - another little boy added to the mix and an almost 3 year old! Merry Christmas to all!!!
