1st haircut time!!

After school today, we took Wyatt to get his very 1st haircut. I was a little sad because I knew that he would lose his curls and that they will probably not grow back, but we have been saying this kid needs his haircut for a while. Since both of us were home this afternoon, why not today?

On our way - he has no idea whats about to go down. And just for the record, I don't normally sit in the back with Wyatt. However, when I got home from school, Wyatt was still taking a nap - which was well over 2.5 hours - so he didn't get his afternoon snack. So, I sat in the back with him and fed him some yogurt. Honestly!!!

We took Wyatt to get his 1st haircut at the same barber shop that Jacob goes to and has been going to for a long time - Shepard's barber shop in downtown Conroe. This is the before shot - both of them ended up getting a haircut today.

Everything was under control - we had Thomas and Jack with us so things seemed like they were going to be okay.

Until Mr. Larry put on the cape (or smock...whatever it is called). Then the tears started flowing.

He pretty much cried the entire time - it was heart breaking : ( Notice how Jacob is putting a big fat piece of gum in his mouth - very sympathetic! Mr. Larry gave Jacob a piece to try to entice Wyatt - clearly this did not work.

Poor kid - he was terrified.
Check out the large wet spot he left on the smock (?).

Lots of tears and lots of drool.

A brief crying break.
And then he was back at it.

Immediate relief when I got him down from the chair - sigh of relief - look how handsome!

While daddy got his hair cut, Wy happily played with some toys he found at the barber shop.

Good way to pass the time, read yourself a cross word puzzle book.

And here is the after shot of my boys with their fresh new hair cuts! We are all very happy now!!

Handsome Wyatt Aaron!!! Such a little boy now. I was sad for the curls to go, but you look so adorable with your new clean cut look!!!

After leaving the barber shop, we had to go show off our new hair cut to Nana. Happy little boy with trains in his hands!
