Crystal Beach Part 1

We spent a week down at Crystal Beach with my parents, sister, grandparents and a few cousins.  7 straight days of playing at the beach will for sure wear a momma out!!!  We had a lot of fun and lots of fun memories were made!!  The boys are for sure beach boys - they had a blast!  As usual, my mom took some fabulous pictures to document our vacation and I will be posting them over the course of the next few posts.

So my boys were obsessed with hermit crabs!  Each beach outing they would collect hermit crabs - they would fill up a bucket or the back of their dump truck with water, sand and seaweed for the hermit crabs to live in for the duration of that particular beach outing.  We would always release the hermit crabs back into the ocean before heading back to the house.  At first this was a tough task but it progressively got easier to release the hermit crabs.  We would make it into a game and have hermit crab races although most of the silly crabs would just bury themselves in the sand rather then run for dear life back into the ocean!!

Just for the record the water was not near as pretty as the picture below makes it look!  Mom's camera does wonders on the ugliest of waters : )

We spent one afternoon chilling at the beach house in the blow up pool - the kids didn't seem to mind!  I believe the pictures below were taken on Father's day.  Mark, Tina and the kids drove over for the afternoon and evening.

Me and my youngest cousin!

These 2 are 18 months apart!!

I think this picture is really sweet.

On our second night at the beach, Sunday night to be exact, the AC went out and we spent a very hot, uncomfortable night with windows open.  The next day we were told the entire unit was going to have to be replaced so we packed up all of our stuff and moved 4 miles down the road to this house.  This one is only 6 months old but not near as big.  However it was right on the beach where the other one was across the street from the beach.  It did the trick although I sure did miss the space of the first house.  But its all about the adventure right?!

Jacob tried a little fishing.

He didn't catch anything but oh well.  Worth a try!

I love watching Wy run around...he runs just like Jacob!  Hopefully he will be just as fast as Jacob.
