G's birthday cont......
After leaving the children's museum, we headed south to Galveston! Since we were having lunch with my family for granddad's birthday on Sunday, I thought it would be fun to make it a little Hoffart family getaway and spend the night in Galveston. So Jacob found us a hotel right next to Casey's (where we had lunch for Granddad's birthday) and it was on the seawall so it was perfect (well kind of, I wouldn't stay here again but it worked for what we needed at the time)! We checked in to the hotel, changed clothes and then headed across the street to play on the beach. The boys LOVED it and made me realize we have to visit the beach again this summer. I took a bunch of sand toys and away they played!! So much fun!
Wyatt kept a close eye on the tide and whether or not it was coming in or out. They would get close and then as soon as the water would start coming in and they would take off running while yelling "watch out, the tide is coming". Both of them! G's was more like "tide coming" and "Wyatt, tide". Super cute.
Love this!!!
He did a lot of running and laughing : )
How fun is this dinosaur?! I found it in the dollar bin at Target (although, I think it was $3 but still!). Wyatt loves all things dinosaurs so it was perfect.
See the green marks still on his face from the museum? Ha!
Love!!!
Look what Garrett made for his special day!!!
Happy birthday sweet G!
It's like he knew it was his name because he camped out here for a while!
After playing on the beach for a few hours, we headed back to the hotel for quick baths before dinner. The hotel is also right next door to Joe's Grab Shack so that is where we headed next. I am not a huge fan of Joe's but we chose it because of the awesome playground it has for the kiddos! Makes eating out with energetic little ones a lot easier.
The next day we woke up, ate breakfast and then back to the beach for a few more hours of sand time. More seashells were collects and more sand castles were made and quickly destroyed. Wyatt told me later on in the day that he loves the beach and wants to go back really soon! Yes sir, we will make that happen!!
What a great weekend with my little family of 4!!! Love these two too pieces.
Happy birthday little G!!! We love you to the moon and back!!
