Painting with a Twist

Emily here - I gave my computer to April to do some updating but she couldn't get on the internet on my computer at her house (April here - couldn't update last week due to technical difficulties and then my dog died this weekend...give me a break!). SOOO I am back and trying to give you some updates. I have so many pics from this past month and I will do my best to show you what we have been up to.

House Update: We closed on our house yesterday. We are officially homeless and I guess debt free for the moment! We have moved in with Jacob's parents and we are adjusting. It's going to take a while to get into a new routine and for things to feel "normal' again. We close on the lot (oh we bought an acre by the way!) on Tuesday and hopefully we will start building our house in the next month. I am beyond excited and can't wait!!!

Anyway, so back to August 10th....my girlfriends and I celebrated my 30-something birthday at Painting with a Twist. If you haven't experienced Painting with a Twist, you need to! It is a blast and even if you have no artistic ability like myself, you will produce a piece of artwork that you will be proud of and want to hang for all to see! Lots and lots of fun.

This is the painting I picked out for all of us to paint.
So how it works is that you pick out a painting and a professional artists leads you through painting the picture every step of the way. Its fabulous. And its just great social time - bring some wine and some snacks and fun will be had!! Here we are painting our little hearts out.....

And here we are with our final products!! Way way fun.

Happy birthday to me - super duper fun birthday!!
